About Me
I am a freelance writer and editor, with particular interests in physical and emotional wellness, women’s health and pregnancy, and social justice.
I’m also a creative explorer of the world, striving to make meaning of my life experience with words and art. I have four children through birth and adoption and live an idyllic life in Carrboro, North Carolina.
I have a biology degree from UNC-Chapel Hill and a midwifery license from New Mexico. In alternate universes, I’m an infectious disease specialist, photographer for Nat Geo, midwife, marine biologist, shaman, and whatever job allows me to pet a tiger. But in this universe, I’m happy to work with words.
